March 2011 - Editing Donne
We are delighted to announce that on 26 March 2011, we will host the first of three AHRC-funded OESJD events: Editing Donne. This conference will appeal to scholars and students of the writings of John Donne, notably his sermons; to those engaged in textual criticism and bibliographical studies in the Early Modern period (and beyond), as well as to those with an interest in the historical, cultural, and religious milieu that forms the backdrop to Donne's sermons.
We are very excited to have Claire Preston (Cambridge) as conference respondent.
Other speakers include: Peter McCullough (Oxford); David Colclough (Queen Mary); Katrin Ettenhuber (Cambridge); Erica Longfellow (Kingston); Mary Ann Lund (Leicester); Mary Morrissey (Reading); Emma Rhatigan (Sheffield); Hugh Adlington (Birmingham); Philip West (Oxford); Sebastiaan Verweij (Oxford).

Student Bursaries
Our AHRC-grant generously allows for student bursaries for this event. For each graduate student delegate, we will cover registration. We have limited funds for the travel grants, so these will be allocated as fairly as possible across all applicants. If you would like to be considered for the bursary, please write to Sebastiaan Verweij to register for the event, stating your affiliation, your course, and your estimated travel costs. Please do not leave this to the last moment - the sooner we hear from you, the better.
Accommodation
Since this is a one-day event, unfortunately we cannot offer accommodation. Should you require an overnight stay, then we ask you to arrange this yourself. You may wish to consult Oxford Rooms or Visit Oxfordshire for further details on accommodation in the city.
